I have two degrees, yet I am working at a dead-end, minimum wage paying, cashier job – and the best (or worst) part is that I am enjoying myself. Except for the fact that when I calculate how much I am making each day it equals approximately $50 and previously I was making about $200. So, as a result, even though I am working, I must never spend any money on anything other than necessities (ie. rent, groceries, phone bill). How wonderful.
Unrelated, although kind of related, since having certain weekdays off means I am able to go to all-you-can-eat sushi lunches with Zac. Yum. We’ve been fasting since last night to enjoy the deliciousness that is vegetarian sushi. My stomach is begging for food, but I am attempting to restrain myself by writing in here – since I never update unless it’s absolutely necessary.
In an attempt to better myself as a Canadian, I am going back to school in January to learn French. Mind you, I took French for 9 years and can barely put together a sentence, so I am not sure what I am expecting from a four month course; I suppose time will tell.
